Create, import and export Properties
Properties are universal in Anker, and they affect the behavior of all the other modules.
As the diagram shows above, they are defined at an organizational level and are shared across projects. So this means that when you change a property name or type, it changes everywhere.
Create an Anker Property
Anker Parameters are set up for all of your projects.
To create a new Anker Parameter go to "Anker" under Properties → "Add".
In the picture, I created a new property named “Material Cost”. The user can also decide the IFC property set name as well as the IFC property name. This means if you take an IFC export from Anker, this property will be attached to the property set named “Information”, and the IFC property name is the same as the name of the property, “Material Cost”.
The Anker property name does not need to be the same as the IFC property name. This means if the user wants to have a simpler name in Anker compared to how it should look in the IFC, that’s also possible.
In Anker properties, you can also change the Property Set name at a later stage, if you find that the property set needs to be renamed in order to fit some other systems or so.
Export Properties
To export, select the properties and click the “Export” button -
This will give you a .csv file with your properties.
Import Properties
Modify your .csv with new properties, and make sure you populate all the relevant fields!
Then click “Import” in Anker and select your .csv
After the import is complete, the properties will be in Anker.
